Seminole County Judges


Seminole County is in the 18th judicial circuit with Brevard County. The 18th judicial circuit is part of the 5th district of Florida. Seminole County has 10 circuit court judges and 6 county court judges. In criminal court Seminole County circuit judges handle felonies, juvenile delinquency cases, county court appeals and administrative appeals. County judges handle misdemeanors and traffic cases. In civil court the county court judges jurisdiction extends to civil disputes involving $15,000 or less, small claims (less than $5,000), and most landlord tenant issues. Circuit Civil courts jurisdiction includes civil actions over $15,000, family law, county court appeals, ejectment and probate matters.

Seminole County has 3 courthouses and 2 additional traffic court locations. The Seminole County criminal courthouse is located at 101 Bush Blvd, Sanford, Florida 32773. The Seminole County Juvenile Justice Center is located at 190 Bush Blvd, Sanford, Florida 32773. The Seminole County Civil Courthouse is located at 301 N. Park Ave, Sanford, Florida 32771. Traffic cases are held in Sanford at 101 Bush Blvd, Sanford, Florida 32773. Altamonte Springs traffic court is held at 225 Newburyport Ave, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701 and Winter Springs traffic court is held at 1126 E. State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708.
