Judge Debra L. Krause - Seminole County Judges

Seminole County Judge Krause was born and raised just outside Brockport, a small collegiate town in western New York. Judge Krause currently lives in Altamonte Springs with her husband and three children. She earned her A.A. degree from Seminole Community College and her B.S.B.A. from the University of Central Florida in May 1997. She later earned her J.D. from Stetson College of Law in May 2004. Judge Krause worked as an attorney in private practice prior to her judicial election in 2012. Judge Krause defeated her opponent in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 54.7% of the vote. She previously received 28.3% of the vote in the four-way primary election on August 14, 2012. Judge Krause handles cases in the Seminole County criminal courthouse at 101 Bush Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773. Judge Krause ran as "the people’s candidate" and has lived up to that reputation by treating the parties in front of her with courtesy and respect.
